A blueprint for biodiversity conservation through restoration of ecosystem process across Mount Alexander.
Biodiversity Blueprint Launched
Connecting Country has taken another step further in supporting the future restoration of landscapes across Mount Alexander. Its Biodiversity Blueprint was launched at Buda Homestead on Friday the 7th of November in front of a large and excited crowd of landcarers.
This blueprint identifies the shire’s natural assets, the possible threats they face and potential future actions that can be taken. There will be further discussions and consultations at future Reference Group meetings to refine the project ideas that have been initially identified. Funding opportunities and support will then be sought to implement these projects to combine the strengths of both bushland and agricultural landscapes across the shire.
A demonstration of how useful this site is was demonstrated at the launch with further workshops being planned in the future.
Standing room only at the launch.
